Low self esteem is a habit, heres how to change it

helping you find your voice and be seen so you can make money and live the life you truly love

as women and business owners we can often suffer from low self esteem. in fact, you’re probably attached to feeling less than – and this is why…

Our behaviour is the sum of our habits.

Our habits become shaped by what we socialise them into and that’s often determined by how it makes us feel.

The biological, emotional hit is what we receive and become addicted to.

But these hits are temporary.

Which leave us searching for more. And so the endless scroll for a dopamine hit continues as does the re-checking for likes, the looking for approval and the want to prove our work is of value – to others and to ourselves.

This leaves a fall out – in between dopamine hits – of feeling like an inferior version of ourselves, lowering our self esteem and worth.

And our use and addiction to social media feeds this.

It works against our desire to feel enough, to feel worthy and to feel fulfilled in what we’re doing with our time, businesses and lives.

And that’s the whole reason we get into spending our time this way in the first place – to feel and receive the more that we crave for ourselves, build our self esteem and enjoy our lives more.

so how can we rid ourselves of low self esteem

and experience more joy?

We form our habits and routines as a form of defence, a shield against feeling inferior yet by doing so we lock ourselves in habits that make growth harder to reach.

In order to get out of this space of inferiority, of keeping ourselves at a certain level and with low self esteem we need to do two things:

  • Create new habits
  • Connect deeply with ourselves

Self connection creates self acceptance. It cultivates a sense of peace, of satisfaction with where and who you are so we look outside of ourselves for validation less and look inside of ourselves for integrity, creativity and appreciation of who and where we are, more.

Changing habits supports our self connection building worthiness, self esteem, building confidence and coupled with the knowledge and acceptance from connecting deeply with yourself, it also creates courage, direction, momentum and growth.

growth of our self esteem is not only a choice but a strategy

As creative business owners we have a choice of routes to take with how we spend the majority of the time that conditions us: we could choose the traditional marketing strategy that we mold ourselves to fit and will for that reason only work to a limited degree.

Or we can pour ourselves into self connection so that we build our value, combatting low self esteem, creating confidence in who we are as well as our desire to naturally share our excitement about our work in a way that radiates our energy.

And energy is important. It’s what our audience picks up, that seventh sense, that unwritten signal, that familiarity, like and want to hear from, listen to, buy from someone.

Our sense of self and self esteem is malleable. It can be built based on the actions or habits that we place into our lives and connecting with yourself helps to create a new way of being, a new perception and a new appreciation of who you are that is in integrity and aligned with your truth.

It’s the most authentic way of living, working and being and it feeds and nurtures our sense of self worth, our knowledge of self, our creativity and enjoyment of our lives.
